Don't get left behind!

The first part of the tour was nice, but at the stop to the Korean/Vietnam/Lincoln memorials, the tour guide gave very vague directions on how to find our way back to the bus, so most of our time was spent wandering, not knowing where we were, and given that this was a night tour in an unfamiliar city, it's hard to find your way back to the bus in the dark. People were left behind and I don't think that the tour guide really cared. I would have been horrified if I had been left behind in the dark in the middle of the night. So, coming back on the bus to see that people were being left behind was the most memorable moment of this tour for me.

The driver and the tour guide were awesome! They made it fun, shared details about the history that I would not have known if I traveled to these sights by myself.

Good tour. Nice to see the sites at night. Bus was not crowded which I appreciate. Next time, cold water would be a plus. Over all goo job

Tour guide was rude to paying customers from the start, he was hard to listen too with stories that were looong and too personal. Like, I don’t care about your two books dude.

Best Sight-seeing Tour!!

The best, most important part of the tour was our tour guide, Kwame. He was so knowledgeable about the history and added tidbits about the monuments and the city. He was so engaging. My eleven and twelve year olds were even interested and learned facts they didn’t know. It was the perfect way to navigate through the city and see the monuments with an experienced guide rather than trying to navigate and find things of interest on our own.

Vernon was a very good guide. The tour had a disasterous end for us when my wife fell on the steps leading to the Iwo Jima monument. Vernon had warned us of the issue but the steps are not lit and they do not have anything such as reflective paint or some other way of noting where the steps are. She sustained 2 broken arms, a broken finger, an abrasion on her knee, and multiple bruising. We went to the ER and she spent 2 days in the hospital. We will see our orthopedic this week to followup.

What a great tour! We skipped going to the monuments during the day because DC is beautiful at night! Being able to see all of the monuments in one tour was an amazing experience and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun!
